Please join our weekly virtual space: Breaking Silences Peer Group

Hosted by: Dr. Julie Williams from Wright State University and Maria Matzik of Access Center for Independent Living

This virtual discussion group is held every Thursday evening from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The group’s intent is to offer community connectiveness to individuals who are isolated by the impact of COVID-19. The group welcomes participation from professionals, family members, allies of the disability community, etc. as well.

The group is working on ways to develop emergency resources and to develop an awareness regarding individuals with significant disabilities. Our goal is to initiate social connections and to offer support within the community.

There is no cost associated with participation and / or involvement in this group. If you are interested in being a part of this virtual community please send us an email and you will be added to the invite list each week for WebEx participation: Maria Matzik [email protected]

You can join, or leave, the discussion at any time.

A Sign Language Interpreter and C-Print captionist attends every meeting.
